Mark Laurence B. Relova, Ph.D.

Mentor

Mark brings with him close to two decades of strategic management and international experience in the areas of Training, Leadership and Organization Development.

He is currently Vice President and Head of Troo Lab. Troo is East West Ageas Life Insurance Corporation. In his current role, Mark is accountable for the performance of 3 verticals: (1) Education (Learning, Training Delivery), (2) Talent Management and Development (Leadership Development, Career and Succession Planning), and (3) Organization Development (Culture Building, Engagement and Creative Thinking).

Prior to joining Troo, Mark lived and worked in Bangkok Thailand for 7 years as Group Head for Learning of East-West Seed Group of Companies. Specific to Learning and Development, his scope of responsibility covered 8 countries. The Learning Management System he designed won the Gold Award for Best Social Collaborative Learning Platform in the prestigious Brandon Hall Excellence Awards in the US.

Before relocating to Bangkok, Mark worked in 24/7 Customer Phils as Senior Manager for Organization Development and Talent Management. He led a team that helped develop internal talent, promote over 400 employees from all levels, and train over 200 TLs/supervisors and 50 managers in over 100 leadership classes and workshops designed and conducted internally.

Before working for 24/7 Customer Phils, Mark joined Convergys Philippines (CVG) as a member of its pioneer team. As Training Manager, Mark oversaw large scale customer service, and communication and culture training of over 7,000 agents and non-agents and managed training operations. When Mark left CVG, he held the distinction of being the only employee to have received the General Manager\'s award twice because of exemplary performance.

Mark has participated in several international conferences as keynote speaker, chairman of the conference, moderator and resource panelist in his areas of expertise.

He holds a PhD in Organization Development from SAIDI Graduate School of Organization Development. He also holds a Master\'s degree in Communication from the University of the Philippines, where he also finished his undergraduate degree Magna Cum Laude and College Valedictorian.

He is also Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt certified, Master Trainer certified (International Board of Standards for Training and Performance Improvement), a seasoned facilitator of various leadership workshops from Development Dimensions International and Franklin Covey Institute, brain-based coach (Neuroleadership Group), and Enneagram facilitator.

Mark also earned his postgraduate certificates in Strategic Human Resource Transformation and Talent Development from the Pennsylvania State University, Human Resource Development from the National University of Singapore, and is an alumnus of the Basic Management Program of the Asian Institute of Management.
